My intentions for this page is to stimulate debate and get you lot out
there thinking. If you have a question on any aspect of the laws of the game or
have been put in a situation on the field of play where you were not sure you
did the right thing please let me
know. What I will do is then post the query to this page and see what the
general opinion is as to a solution. I hope the original poster will let us know
what the response has been to your query.
If you know of any Usenet groups that you think would be of interest to
people reading these pages please let me know and I will setup links to any
relevant ones.
Here is a situation that I would like your opinion on. There is a cornerkick on the opposite side of the field where I am working as an assistant referee. The referee is positioned too much to the right of center and there is an obvious handling by a defender to his left. Everyone on my sideline can see this, including myself. Do I raised my flag in hopes that the referee will turn his back and notice me? Do I assume that since he is much closer he must of been able to see this and determined it was not handling? I know this will be the beginning of the end of his credivility, but should I raise my flag anyway??
