Minutes for meeting held on 24/3/97

1. The Chairman welcomed everyone.

2. Apologies were received from A.Webster, E.Hooton and M.Shaw

3. A discussion ensued on the Mike Reed incident. Confusion about keeping red and yellow cards in the same pocket.

4. Ron Gore congratulated the organisers for a wonderful evening. The venue, quizmaster and buffet were complimented. it was pleasing that there were two young members of our Society in the Ormskirk team.

5. Congratulations were extended to Mark Shaw on the birth of a daughter. Congratulations were extended to Dave Horlick regarding his FA Cup Final appointment. The Secretary was asked to send a letter.

6. The Chairman outlined the LCFA procedures for an appeal hearing. He also gave advice on how to conduct oneself at these meetings.

7. The Chairman reminded promotion candidates that the applications to the County FA were to be in by 31st may 1997.

8. Steve Catterall gave a talk on referees and assistants co-operation paying particular attention to the assistants duties and match instruction.

9. The meeting was then closed.
